Dr. Ruggiero likewise received his medical degree from Loyola University, where he was a classmate of Dr. Panuccio. They subsequently married and have been together since 1989. He successfully completed his initial training in Internal Medicine while serving on active duty in the US Army. He then went on to sub-specialize in Allergy & Immunology. Dr. Ruggiero completed 9 years of honorable military service before relocating to the metro-Orlando area in 1997. He has a special interest in health and wellness as a means for disease prevention. His interest in allergy focuses on the interplay of the environment and the immune system, and how that relationship can be manipulated to alter the expression of asthma, especially in children. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Allergy & Immunology. He is an active member of the American Society of Bariatric Physicians and has demonstrated expertise in treating obesity and its medical complications. He is the managing partner of AMG, and recently developed the medically supervised weight loss program, Weight No More.
